For those wishing to venture out on their own, a SUP rental is the perfect option for exploring the waters of Acadia, for an afternoon, or for a leisurely few days
As the premier stand-up paddleboarding shop in Maine, the difference is in the details. We provide top-quality equipment, unmatched customer service, and expert paddling knowledge you won’t find anywhere else. We don’t cut corners—and it shows in every part of your experience.
While our shop isn’t located directly on the water, don’t let that deter you. For full-day rentals, we exclusively offer high-quality inflatable paddleboards, making transport simple and stress-free.
There’s no lifting boards onto your car or dealing with roof racks. Each board comes packed in a convenient travel backpack. Just arrive at your chosen launch spot, inflate the board in minutes, and you’re ready to paddle. Our team will walk you through everything and make sure you feel confident before you go.
Being mobile with a full-day rental means you’re not locked into one crowded launch site. Instead, you have the flexibility to paddle where conditions are best—away from busy boat traffic, strong winds, and packed shorelines.
That freedom allows you to:
Choose calmer, more scenic locations
Avoid crowds and busy launches
Enjoy a more relaxed, memorable day on the water
We believe this flexibility creates a better, smoother, and more enjoyable paddleboarding experience—and that’s exactly what we’re here to deliver.

Renters must be 18 years or older.
All renters must sign a waiver and complete a float plan, which we expect you to follow.
Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times while using rental boards.
Maine State Law and U.S. Coast Guard regulations require:
A personal flotation device (PFD) for everyone on every board.
Children 12 years old and under must wear a PFD at all times.
For insurance and liability reasons, all renters are required to WEAR a PFD at all times while on the water.
For safety and liability reasons, rentals may only be launched at approved locations (weather and wind dependent). Our staff is happy to help you choose the best spot based on daily conditions.
Approved launch locations include:
Ike’s Point at Echo Lake
Great Long Pond (North End & West Shore)
Somes Pond
Lakewood Pond
Hamilton Pond
Northeast Creek
Seal Harbor Beach
Hadley Point Beach
Paddling in coastal waters carries additional risks, including:
Cold water temperatures
Large tides
Wind and wave exposure
Fog and boat traffic
For these reasons, we strongly recommend private guided trips for anyone interested in paddling tidal waters.
We reserve the right to limit where you may paddle based on your experience level, weather, and daily conditions. No refunds will be issued if we determine your planned location is unsafe. Please keep your itinerary flexible—you are ultimately responsible for your own safety.
The following locations do not allow paddleboarding due to drinking water protection or swimming-only regulations:
Eagle Lake
Jordan Pond
Upper Haddlock Pond
Lower Haddlock Pond
Sand Beach (6/15–9/8)
Echo Lake Beach (6/15–9/8)
Please do not take rental boards to restricted areas. Violations may result in penalties or loss of rental privileges.

Posted on Jan NVerified Best rental shop in town... Rented eBikes from this in town location for a day trip on the Acadia carriage roads. A smaller business shop nestled on Main Street in Bar Harbor well worth the visit. Staff was awesome very helpful totally stress free experience along with best prices found in the area. Get there early for reservation parking is limited in town other than that highly recommended establishment..!!Posted on SeaSpankerVerified E-bike rentals for Acadia Rented 2 class I e-bikes for 4 hours and self-toured the “tri-lakes” of Acadia. Online reservations were easy. The guys at the shop were very chill. They even extended our time by 30 min because instructions, directions and signing waivers for a small group cut into our 4 hr reserved time. Bikes were in great shape and battery was powerful and long lasting. Very happy with our experience.Posted on hixter57Verified E-bike Rental Heroes We attempted to rent some e-bikes for Acadia National Park, but everyplace was sold out. Then a Google search brought up Acadia SUP and I was ecstatic to find they had two available. They showed us how to use their e-assist bikes and off we went for a FABULOUS ride on the park’s Carriage Road system of trails. Definitely recommend these guys!Posted on Diana PVerified Great first time e-bike experience This was our first time trying E-Bikes and boy was it a blast. Chris and his team were professional and friendly. We were giving instructions on how to use the bike and all our questions were answered. We didn’t feel rushed throughout the whole process. Bike riding the Carriage Roads couldn’t have been more fun. Wonderful experience and I highly recommend this adventure shopPosted on Donna HVerified Fun in Acadia! Renting e-bikes here was such a smart move! We leisurely arrived, were fitted with helmets and given ample instructions. It was not difficult to ride up to the park entrance from Main Street. The bikes performed beautifully during our day-long excursion. Other people often stopped to view our e-bikes, noting the quality. We were able to navigate the many carriage trails in the park with ease.Posted on KC10DaveVerified Excellent E-Bike Rentals! We rented E-bikes for the full day. Well worth it and great bikes!
