Easy, Hassle-Free Paddleboard Transport

While our shop isn’t located directly on the water, don’t let that deter you. For full-day rentals, we exclusively offer high-quality inflatable paddleboards, making transport simple and stress-free.

There’s no lifting boards onto your car or dealing with roof racks. Each board comes packed in a convenient travel backpack. Just arrive at your chosen launch spot, inflate the board in minutes, and you’re ready to paddle. Our team will walk you through everything and make sure you feel confident before you go.

Paddle Board Rental Options:

Full Day Inflatable SUP Rental: Our FAVORITE and MOST FLEXIBLE option! A full-day reservation gives you complete control of your day. Take your board and explore multiple locations or change it up if one spot gets too crowded or windy. We will hold the board for you the whole day. Simply come when you like and have the board back by 5pm.
Multi-Day Rigid SUP Rental: Staying on the water or want the ultimate freedom on your vacation to paddle without the hassle of feeling rushed? A long term paddle board rental is the perfect solution. Don’t let weather forecasts or changing plans affect your ability to go paddling whenever you want. The boards are yours the whole time. We will come to your vacation rental, hotel, or bed & breakfast to deliver your boards directly. Delivery is FREE on Mount Desert Island (off-island delivery starts at $25 + $1 per mile) and we can provide optional pads and straps so you can take the board wherever you like.

Included With an Acadia Paddle Board Rental:

High-quality and durable (adult sized) board, paddle, safety leash, and personal flotation device (required by law). Inflatable paddle boards on daily rentals from our store. Rigid hard boards are provided for our multi-day rentals with board delivery
An optional set of foam pads and straps to safely secure the boards to the top of your vehicle. No rack needed!!
Assistance from our friendly and knowledgeable staff and a brief orientation on proper set up and use of your equipment.
A map with recommended paddling spots to give you the flexibility to get away from the crowded boat launches as well as out of the wind.
Free on island delivery for multi-day rentals.

Paddle Board Rental Guidelines:

Age & Supervision

Renters must be 18 years or older.
All renters must sign a waiver and complete a float plan, which we expect you to follow.
Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times while using rental boards.

Safety Requirements (Required by Law)

Maine State Law and U.S. Coast Guard regulations require:

A personal flotation device (PFD) for everyone on every board.
Children 12 years old and under must wear a PFD at all times.

For insurance and liability reasons, all renters are required to WEAR a PFD at all times while on the water.

Recommended Paddle Locations

For safety and liability reasons, rentals may only be launched at approved locations (weather and wind dependent). Our staff is happy to help you choose the best spot based on daily conditions.

Great Long Pond (North End & West Shore)
Somes Pond
Lakewood Pond
Hamilton Pond
Northeast Creek
Seal Harbor Beach
Hadley Point Beach

Coastal Water Use

Paddling in coastal waters carries additional risks, including:

Cold water temperatures
Large tides
Wind and wave exposure
Fog and boat traffic

For these reasons, we strongly recommend private guided trips for anyone interested in paddling tidal waters.

We reserve the right to limit where you may paddle based on your experience level, weather, and daily conditions. No refunds will be issued if we determine your planned location is unsafe. Please keep your itinerary flexible—you are ultimately responsible for your own safety.
