Chris Strout

Owner / Master Maine Guide & Advanced SUP Instructor

Chris is often better known on the island as the “paddle board guy.”  A Master Maine Guide in multiple disciplines, Chris is the most experienced and highly certified SUP instructor in the state and has been guiding and teaching paddle sports for over 20 years.  Chris loves to share his passion and love for paddling, the ocean, natural history, and the MDI area with you.  His goal every time he goes out  is to leave people smiling and hopefully a little more inspired. When he’s not out on the water or working elsewhere in the business Chris can probably be found sneaking in a few miles on his road bike or hoping for the surf to come up a little bit so he can go catch some waves.

Lee Reesor

Maine Guide & SUP Instructor

A native of North Carolina, Lee comes to us with over a decade of outdoor guiding experience.  He has guided trips on the Colorado Rive, led sea kayak tours in the San Juan Islands, work with troubled youth in Appalachia, and taught snowboarding in Colorado.  His enthusiasm is infectious and you are sure to have a great time with Lee as your guide.

Mike Henry

Master Maine Guide & SUP Instructor

Mike’s is passionate about paddling and the outdoors. Its a passion that started at a very young age when his parents took him camping all over Maine and parts of Canada.  A college professor in the “off season” Mike’s talent for teaching, inspiring his students and having fun while doing it is immediately apparent.

Mike is a Registered Maine Guide in both Sea Kayaking and Recreation. He also is an ACA Level 4 Instructor, certified in Adaptive Paddling, and a Wilderness First Responder.

Julie Waterman

Maine Guide & SUP Instructor

Julie is as experienced as it gets.  To gauge her love of paddle sports one need only look so far as her name.  She is a true waterwoman and is pretty much always found either in her kayak on on her paddleboard.  She is also and avid skier and is actively involved in the ski industry during the winter season. Julie loves to play games out on the water and has and endless supply of fun things to do especially for kids.
