Discover the Beauty of Acadia on a Bar Harbor Paddle Boarding Trip

Our popular 2-hour Maine paddle boarding trips are the ideal all-around experience on the water for any ability level. The calm and scenic coastal bays of Mount Desert Island are the perfect venue to explore the waters of Acadia. With its gorgeous mountain backdrops and rugged rocky coast, an ocean SUP trip is sure to be the highlight of your Acadia paddle board adventure. Small group sizes assure plenty of personalized attention and all the logistics are taken care of by our professional staff meaning you can focus on what’s important, having fun!

Every Trip Includes:

  • transportation to and from the water in our truck.
  • a full length wetsuit and booties (optional) for anyone who wants one.
  • a safety orientation and some basic on water instruction on proper balance and paddling technique for anyone who wants some extra coaching.
  • a considerable amount of time for sightseeing, and having fun on the boards.
  • a guide on the water who will also do all the unloading and unloading of all the necessary gear you would need for a quality and safe experience.

We were a bit apprehensive since it was a chilly, 50’s, morning in late August. The wetsuits immediately take off the chill and in fact, make you feel warm and comfy. The owner Chris, also our guide, was so professional, so incredibly knowledgeable and informative. Not only did we receive a terrific paddleboarding lesson but also a deep narrative about the geological and ecological processes that formed the fjord, the sound and the surrounding mountains and Acadia. What a wonderful morning learning to paddleboard in Somes Sound. This was one of our most memorable experiences when visiting Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.
